EMERGENCY MESSAGE FOR U.S. CITIZENS
Tropical Storm NateSeptember 9, 2011
The U.S. National Hurricane Center is reporting that there is a hurricane watch
in Mexico in effect for Tampico, Tamaulipas south to Veracruz City, Veracruz and
a Tropical Storm watch in effect for Tampico north to La Cruz, Tamaulipas as
well as from Veracruz City south to Punta el Lagarto, Veracruz. The center of
the storm is expected to approach the coast of Mexico in the hurricane watch
area on Sunday. The latest storm information can be obtained from the U.S.

U.S. citizens traveling and residing in the area of the storm are urged to stay
tuned to local news and emergency services announcements and to monitor the
storm’s progress. In addition to danger from wind, life threatening flash
floods and mudslides are possible. Coastal areas are especially vulnerable to
these hazards. U.S. citizens in coastal areas may be impacted by the storm.
U.S. citizens are urged to stay clear of beaches as rough seas associated with
storm conditions create severe hazards. General information on preparing for a

registration. In addition, all U.S. citizens are encouraged to stay in contact
with friends and relatives in the U.S. to apprise them of their whereabouts and
well-being.
