Here's a NOAA link for the storm off our coast that is bringing some winds and showers to Morelia. It looks like we are fortunate here in Morelia but it will be tough around the coast and pretty bad inland as well. Our Lakeside folks might even catch a nasty piece of this if it remains a major hurricane over land as currently predicted. http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/graphics_ep5.shtml?5-daynl?large#contents

I added a weather widget to our front page so we can keep tabs on our weather situation. You can select Fahrenheit or Celsius by clicking the *F tab at the bottom of the box. There is also a button for an extended forecasts. This should make a nice addition to the site. Check the Weather widget and look at the Morelia centro webcam for current conditions and you don't even need to go outside, but what fun would that be?

Poor Tere, she left out for Zihuatanejo last night by bus to spend a few days in Ixtapa with her neice and nephew for a long-planned getaway. Too bad we can't forecast the weather long-range. I hope they all have an enjoyable trip just getting to spend some time with each other. Hopefully most of this storm will pass them by and they get a little break from the rains.

I'm posting the official warning from the Guadalajara consulate under the Avisos Oficiales section of this board.

Here's a local message board for Barra, Melaque and environs. It looks like things could get really nasty over there.

Let's hope not, but there are some pretty scary photos of houses just meters from the seawall and people seem to be evacuating.

I hope Tere is O.K. and on her way home.

Ixtapa is quite a ways south of the storm so there should be little danger, lots of rain and some inconvenience perhaps. If by chance they get caught in the storm being a guest at a resort hotel is probably one of the better ways to do that. But Tere is a big girl and will head back home when they're ready.

For right now I am enjoying eating what and when I want to. I have never become accustomed to having anyone doing all these things for me, been to independent. I get to enjoy this a few more days I hope.
