| While I realize that it was a fair distance from Morelia/Patzcuaro, I am wondering if most of you felt it? In talking to a business associate in Santa Clara del Cobre, he indicated that their lights were swinging and they definitely felt it. | |

| I heard about it but I didn't feel a thing in Morelia. As a Californian a little tremor like a 4 or 5 barely gets noticed unless I'm at the epicenter, but that's only if I'm sitting very still.
A few people around Pátzcuaro said they felt it, but not all of them.

| For anyone that has lived in an earthquake zone like CA, a minor shake like today's with various estimates ranging from 4.9 to 5.2, it might be a yawner! However I would imagine that closer to the epicenter, there might have been some foundation or wall cracking? But in Mexico, those seem to be considered cosmetic issues and easily covered up with a bit of cemento. | |

| I haven't heard comments any more potent than, "I felt it," while others in the same general are said they did not. We keep a little resina around for the rainy season to patch up cracks and leaks in our cement losas. Already had a good whower about a month ago and got to see where we needed to apply some. Not sure if earthquakes contribute much to causing those.
A bit more disturbing was seeing in the news about three days ago some video of a tornado spoted in Edo Mexico. Though I am not sure where exactly that was seen all of Edo Mexico is too close for comfort though I would think Mexico City-ites might be more concerned even. Parts of Mexico City are in Edo Mexico rather than DF.
Also saw a volcano erupting on the news just yesterday. I believe that was in the state of Morelos which is a small state just south of Mexico City.
